Little Tikes Therapy, LLC is a Christ-centered pediatric therapy provider, allowing children to be themselves in their natural environment. Little Tikes Therapy provides quality Occupational Therapy services to individuals in their homes, daycares, parks, etc. We bring encouragement and understanding to maximize the potential of children and their families while serving the ultimate healer.
As an Occupational Therapist I have had the privilege of working with children in several school districts, including Laurens County, Newberry County, and through telehealth, to increase their functional performance with developmental, sensory, and neurodevelopmental interventions. Over the last ten years, the need for early intervention has laid heavy on my heart.
Early intervention services for children birth to three years of age can change a child’s developmental path. Little Tikes Therapy understands that the connections in a baby’s brain are most adaptable in the first three years of life and that is why we believe that the sooner we begin therapy services, the greater the outcomes.
Children birth to three years of age fall into a recommended category when they qualify for therapy services. Meaning that parents, daycare workers, physicians, etc. may refer the child to receive OT services; but unless a therapist is available through the Service Coordinator or an outpatient facility, the child may go untreated.
Our focus is to reach the population of children that are slipping through the cracks because they are currently on a waitlist or outpatient facilities are too far for parents to travel with work and doctor appointments. Little Tikes Therapy will eliminate the barriers of travel and time as we will come to the child and support them with state licensed therapy practitioners. With client-focused evaluations and activities, our goal is to illuminate performance and play in each little tike.
Developmental milestones are assessed to determine if children qualify for services, including but not limited to fine motor skills, visual-motor performance, and sensory processing skills needed for dressing, bathing, eating, playing, and social skills. If you feel your child may qualify for services, please contact Little Tikes Therapy as we can point you in the right direction.
If your child currently qualifies for BabyNet interventions, please contact your Service Coordinator and let them know you would like to utilize Little Tikes Therapy, Occupational Therapy services from therapists and practitioners that are trained and live locally.
In an ever changing world, we understand all children are blessings, and we strive to provide therapy services that will guide them towards the only constant variable in this life, God.
We love because He first loved us. 1st John 4:19
