Winery Announces Spring Music Series

By Richard & Laura LaBarre, Owners and Local Residents

The advent of spring awakens a yearning for the great outdoors, making now the perfect time for Enoree River Winery to announce the Spring lineup for their bi-annual “Unpack the Porch” Music series.

Richard and Laura LaBarre, owners, and winemakers, veteran, and educator, announced the return of their popular free live music series, which takes place from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday afternoons. Local acts include favorites such as The Time Pirates, Killer Beez, along with performances by Mandy Addy, Noel Lindler, and The Bunch Quitters. The full list of Spring dates, bands, and food trucks that will return to the vineyard is listed below.

Originally named “Pack the Porch,” the idea was to fill the winery’s spacious wrap-around porch with the lively sound of music and laughter as visitors enjoyed live entertainment and a

variety of real fruit wines made onsite. With the advent of the pandemic, the LaBarre’s decided to rename the series for the comfort and security of their guests. “Unpack the Porch” takes place in Spring and Fall, with a short Summer hiatus due to the heat, and is celebrating its 5th year with the 2023 season. Live music will not be performed on Easter Sunday, April 10th but will be performed on Mother’s Day, May 14th, with a special pre-order charcuterie box treat, sold by Rodgers Creations. Details for pre-order purchases will be available at enoreeriverwinery.com and rodgerscreations.com in April.

The winery spreads over 11 acres, and guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for their comfort and walk the grounds to see the vines in their various stages of growth before or during each performance. Guests can sample up to 3 different wines before purchasing wine by the glass, the bottle, or refreshing ice-cold wine slushies in season. Tastings are not offered during music performances or special events. The changing food truck schedule allows repeat visitors the opportunity to enjoy a different tasty meal or snack with each visit.

Known for their Wine Tastings along with a list of seasonal varieties, Enoree River makes its wines of 100% real juice without chemical enhancements. While tastings are suspended during Sunday’s music series, guests are encouraged to visit Thursdays through Saturdays during the performance schedule to enjoy the tasting experience.
